Summer Festival

Hand-quilted, small wall hanging featuring six miniature hand-stenciled Japanese yukata fabric kimono,  a traditional festival wear in summer. The border print is an original by Japanese designer, Naomi Itaya (1990’s), the bold flowers inspired by her collection of 18th century silk crepe “chirimen” kimono fabrics.  Machine pieced and hand-quilted.
