Moon Viewing

Safely hidden by the tall summer susuki grass, a family gazes up at the full moon, pondering their ancestors… Unlike our “Man in the Moon,” Japanese people see a silhouette of a rabbit pounding rice. The center block and final cinnamon border are decoratively stitched by hand with Japanese sashiko thread. Three borders encase the bunnies with fussy-cut cornerstones of mon (Japanese family crest symbols). Machine-pieced and machine-quilted to hold center layer of batting in place. NOTE: There are four pieces in the Bunny Series. The center blocks are BLACK, not blue.

Size: 12.5” Ht. x 13.5” W.
