Remnants of several Japanese vintage silk kimono in soft earth-toned colors lovingly woven together for one more life-use by a Japanese weaving method called sakiori (rag weaving): When a kimono is beyond repair, it is carefully unstitched, and the salvageable pieces are then cut into very thin strips and woven into “new” cloth. This piece can be worn as a fashion accessory or displayed on a table or wall as décor in a variety of shapes.
