Men’s Summer Cotton Yukata Fabric Sampler. While women’s summer Yukata designs are still pretty much limited to floral and nature, the men get these gorgeous double dyed blue tone batiks and some olives and browns. The good news (for me) is that young people seem interested again to wear these for festivals and at hot springs. So as long as their is a demand, production will continue. The pieces shown here are “printed” aka dyed and resisted by the meter, needing 11.5 meters for a roll—just enough to make the garment with little or none left over. A little sashiko and two leaves dress up the amulet. By the way, it was quite difficult to find an object to accent these fabrics. They are subtle, yet very egocentric!
