Japanese hand-woven “country” stripe with indigo. Sadly, these cotton wovens (used for summer kimono and haori) are falling out of production. You can still find a few at 15” width at Tomato in Nishi Nippori (Tokyo). I offered them in various cut sizes and charm packs from Quilters’ Express for decades, and I’ve made quilts and table runners from them. So beautiful. A few buttons to adorn and a gourd talisman which would be filled with spices or sake—if larger—for travel.
