And here is Ebisu, another 1 of the 7 Japanese Shichifukujin, or Gods of Fortune. Ebisu is the lucky god of the ocean, fishing folk, and the god of fair dealing. He is the only 1 of 7 to originate in Japan (all others are borrowed from Hindi tradition). He always has a fishing rod and large sea bream fish in hand. He has the additional unofficial honor of being 1 of 2 “kitchen gods,” usually paired with his pal, Daikoku, the god of rice (who might appear later in the amulet series!).
