2011 Japan Tour Terms & Conditions
November 6–November 17, 2011

Pricing and Payment Schedule for "Autumn Splendor" Tour, November 2011

Land Cost Only (w/ twin-share basis): $4,999.00
Single Supplement (additional): $995.00

Price Includes:
TRANSPORTATION: Two (2) Airport transfers. Private chartered motor coach on days 6,7,& 8 as specified in the itinerary. Plus two (2) express train rides with reserved seats on days 7 & 8: Odawara to Nagoya, and Nagoya to Kyoto.

HOTELS/ACCOMMODATIONS: Four (4) nights at hotel in Tokyo, one (1) night at a hotel in Yokohama, one (1) night at a hotel in Nagoya, and three (3) nights at a hotel in Kyoto. Standard twin-bedded rooms with bath/shower on a basis of two per room. Single room use available at a supplemental cost as indicated above. Rooms are equipped with toilet, bath/shower, TV, phone, hair dryer, tea and teapot, robe and slippers. Names of hotels and contact information will be provided prior to departure. Our hotels are topnotch with English-speaking front desk staff, and are centrally located. if you need more information about the accommodations prior to sign-up, please contact Susan.

MEALS: Ten (10) Full-American breakfast buffets at the hotels, and three (3) lunches with the group. Tax and gratuities included.

SIGHTSEEING: Admission to the quilt show (one day) plus all admissions to sites, temples, and museums as specified in itinerary.

GUIDE: 1/2-day professional English-speaking guide in Kyoto. On all other days, Susan will guide and translate for the group's scheduled activities.

LUGGAGE TRANSFER: One piece of luggage per participant from Yokohama to Kyoto.

Price DOES NOT Include:
Round-trip airfare from your home to Tokyo, Japan, and back. Any charges for passport or visas where required. Airport departure tax in Japan, if applicable. Charges for transfer of heavy luggage or excess luggage beyond normal restrictions of one bag per person. Additional luggage transfer from Yokohama to Kyoto @ $25 per piece. Room Service charges; Meals not included in the itinerary. Alcoholic Beverages; Insurance; Telephone Calls; Public Transportation costs or Shared Taxis where tour buses are not specified, and when individually required; Costs for optional tours/excursions during specified free time, or optional activities, and ALL other expenditures of personal nature including, but not limited to FABRIC!

**SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT AIRFARE: NTA will be happy to assist making flight reservations and arrangements for you to/ from Japan on an individual basis from the airport of your choice (within the USA) if you are purchasing a ticket. hope to be able to offer you the most competitive air rate available-but these may not be available until late summer. If you are planning to use mileage, we ask that you make your own reservations. Please DO NOT purchase any flight tickets or reserve flights via mileage points until the Tour Director gives the go ahead, announcing that the Tour is definite.

General Information:
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED: A valid passport. No visa required for U.S. citizens.

INSURANCE: Trip Cancellation Insurance, Medical Insurance, Baggage Insurance, and Personal Insurance are NOT included in the tour package. ALL ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. As a courtesy, a travel-related insurance company name will be suggested upon receipt of deposit. Each participant is responsible for his/ her own insurance according to his/ her needs from the agent of his/ her choice. Participants residing outside the USA are encouraged to purchase insurance in their own country.

RESPONSIBILITY: NIPPON TRAVEL AGENCY AMERICA, INC (dba NTA America, Inc. and hereafter known as NTA) acts as Tour Operator in Japan. SUSAN BALL FAEDER acts as the Tour Director and Tour Escort. The suppliers providing transportation and sightseeing arrangements, hotel accommodations, and other services for the tour program are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of NTA, nor of the Tour Escort. All coupons, receipts, and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the suppliers. By participating in this tour and utilizing the services of the suppliers, you agree that neither NTA or SUSAN BALL FAEDER shall be liable for any accident, loss, injury, or damage to you or those traveling with you or your property in connection with any accommodation, transportation, sightseeing arrangement, or other services, or resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrence or conditions including but not limited to: neglect or default of any company or person engaged in carrying out any of the arrangements of the tour or providing any accommodations, transportation, sightseeing arrangements, or other services; acts of God or acts between tour participants; dangers incident to the sea, air travel, flood, fire; defects in vehicles, breakdown of equipment; acts of governments or other authorities, economic sanctions or embargoes, wars, whether declared or not, hostilities, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, riots, strikes, theft; delay or cancellation or changes in itinerary or schedules, or any other causes. If there is a delay or cancellation causing a change of scheduling in the itinerary because of neglect or default of the suppliers, there will be no partial refund by the Tour Operators or the Tour Escort. Should such an unfortunate occurrence take place, the Tour Operators and Tour Escort will try to replace it with a comparable activity.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND: The tour price is based on a minimum of 10 persons traveling together on the entire tour itinerary. Should the group fall below 10 full-paying passengers, the trip may be canceled. All deposits will be returned in full minus a non-refundable booking fee of $ 25.00 per person. Rates are quoted based on costs predicted for 2011, however, please note: tour costs are subject to adjustment for currency fluctuation one month prior to departure. Any and all cancellations on the part of the participant must be sent in writing to the Tour Director. Any cancellations that take place prior to August 5, 2011 (Or: up to three months prior to departure should the departure date change) will not incur a penalty and the deposit will be returned in full. For any cancellation received between August 6, 2011 and September 5, 2011 (Or: up to two months prior to departure should the departure date change) there will be a $100.00 penalty against the return of monies paid. For any cancellation received between September 6, 2011 and October 5 (Or: less than two months and up to one month prior to departure should the departure date change) there will be a penalty of $250.00 against the return of the monies paid. Any cancellation received on or after October 6, 2011 (Or: less than one month prior to departure should the departure date change) and up to the day of departure, participants will be subject to full penalty (cost of entire tour package) unless the entire package can be resold by the Tour Operator or the Tour Escort. In the case of such resale, there may be additional penalties incurred due to nonrefundable tour services, increased package price, or single supplement costs. These costs will also be passed on to the canceled participants.
