Private Tours
If you want to visit Japan, but your interest is not in fabric and quilts, or if you prefer to travel in a small group of your own friends, Susan Ball Faeder can design a tour with your own special focus. For example, in April 2012, Susan led "Springtime in Japan," a 17-day tour of central Japan during the peak of cherry blossom season. The group visited museums, castles, and gardens in 8 cities, including historic Takayama during the famous "Rite of Spring" Festival.
Japanese gardens, religion and temples (including arranging authentic Buddhist meals and an overnight at a Buddhist temple—or two!), food and cooking, sake brewing, crafts, and architecture are just a few possibilities.
